About us.
The RC crawler hobby provides a uniquely rewarding experience for those who enjoy technical challenges, precision driving, and problem-solving. It’s an active, engaging hobby that can be enjoyed in a variety of natural and constructed environments.

Personal & Job Satisfaction Benefits
- Tangible Results and Job Satisfaction: A significant benefit is the sense of accomplishment that comes from seeing a project progress from an empty lot to a finished structure, such as a new road, building, or bridge.
- Hands-On and Varied Work: The role is ideal for those who prefer hands-on work and using large machinery rather than sitting at a desk. Projects vary, which keeps the job interesting and challenging, and modern equipment often includes climate-controlled cabs for comfort in different weather conditions.
- Work-Life Balance: Generally, when the shift ends, the work is done. Operators typically do not take work home with them or receive after-hours calls or emails, allowing for a clear separation between professional and personal life.
- Working Outdoors: Many jobs are outdoors, allowing operators to enjoy fresh air and varied environments, from quarries to mountains to city developments.
- Skill Development: Operators continuously develop a unique skill set including machine operation, maintenance, safety procedures, and problem-solving, which are all transferable skills.

Core Operating Techniques
Feathering: Instead of full-speed “jerky” movements, practice “feathering” the joysticks gently for precision.
Digging Sequence: To fill the bucket efficiently, lower the boom and extend the stick. Then, simultaneously curl the bucket while retracting the stick to pull material into the bucket in one smooth motion.
Stabilization: Before digging, lower the front dozer blade (if equipped) to the ground to provide better leverage and prevent the machine from tipping.
Driving Orientation: When moving the tracks, square the cab with the tracks first so you know which way is “forward”.
